Amala Paul is one of the few heroines to bag women-centric roles. She will be adding to her long list of filmography a horror thriller that will be directed by debutant Vinoth KR. The film’s title has been officially announced to be Adho Andha Paravai Pola.

Kajal Aggarwal released the poster and added that she’s excited to watch Amala’s film.

Amala, in return, shared a message praising Kajal Aggarwal.

Set against the backdrop of the Western Ghats, Amala Paul plays a young woman lost in a jungle with just trees and animals for company. The story, penned by Arun Rajagopalan, gets interesting with strange incidents unfolding that is sure to make this horror thriller keep fans on the edge of their seats.

Adho Andha Paravai Pola is produced by Jones under his banner Century International Films. While Amala Paul will be the central character around whom the story will revolve, the star cast also includes Ashish Vidyarthi, Samir Kochhar and Supreme Sundar. Jakes Bejoy will be composing the tunes for this flick with Santha Kumar, an erstwhile assistant of renowned cinematographer George Williams, will be cranking the camera.

With the story set in the Western Ghats, Adho Andha Paravai Pola will be predominantly shot in the jungles of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.

Amala Paul’s last film release was Thiruttupayale 2 and she currently has a number of films in her kitty, including Bhaskar Oru Rascal and Raatchasan in Tamil, and Aadujeevitham in Malayalam.

In Bhaskar Oru Rascal, which is the remake of the Malayalam film of the same name, she will be paired opposite Arvind Swamy. The film is directed by Siddique. Aadujeevitham on the other hand is directed by Blessy and has Prithviraj Sukumaran playing the lead role.
