The first look poster of ABCD (American Born Confused Desi) has been unveiled and has garnered a good response from the film buffs. The poster features the film’s hero Allu Sirish, who is on a skateboard.

ABCD: American-Born Confused Desi is originally a 2013 Malayalam comedy film that was directed by Martin Prakkat and produced by Shibu Thameens under the banner Thameens Films. The film had Dulquer Salmaan, Jacob Gregory, Aparna Gopinath and Tovino Thomas in the lead roles. The film was made on a budget of Rs 4.5 crore and collected about Rs 12.5 crore at the Box Office.

On the remake, Allu Sirish had tweeted much earlier, “So my next film is #ABCD (American Born Confused Desi), a Malayalam remake. Directed by debutante Sanjeev Reddy & produced by @madhurasreedhar. Other details soon!”

The Telugu version is directed by Sanjiv Reddy and also marks his directorial debut. ABCD remake as gone on to the floors and the shooting is on. The comedy entertainer has Rukshar Dhillon playing the lead along with actor Bharath staging a comeback with a pivotal role.

According to reports, Rashmika Mandanna, the popular Kannada actor, has been roped in to play an important role in this comedy entertainer. Sources say that Rashmika understands that her role will be small but did not want to let go of the opportunity as it is a performance oriented role that would provide fodder for her acting skills. The film is being bankrolled by Madhura Sreedhar and Yash Rangineni.

Allu Sirish made his debut as a child artiste in 1990 with the film Pratibandh and went on to act in the Tamil movie Mayabazar as a child artiste. He made his debut as lead actor with the Tamil film Gouravam in 2013 and since then has acted in Telugu films such as Kotha Janta and Srirastu Subhamastu which was a biggest hit in his career.
