The first look poster of director Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film Chekka Chivandha Vaanam was released on Friday.
The poster, tinted in shades of sunrise or perhaps sunset, is a perfect reference to the film’s title.
Actors Silambarasan, Arvind Swamy, Arun Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi can be seen on the poster.
The film’s cast includes Prakash Raj, Thiagarajan, Jyothika, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aishwarya Rajesh and model Dayana Erappa.
A bilingual, the film will also be released as Nawab in Telugu. The shooting for the film will begin on February 12.
The director has a great lineup of actors, most of whom he’ll be working with for the first time.
The film is being produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. The cast and crew of the film were confirmed via a tweet on their official page.

Mani Ratnam had earlier announced that Fahadh Faasil would also be a part of the cast, but his name does not feature in the official tweet from Madras Talkies.
AR Rahman is the film’s music director, and the lyrics will be penned by Vairamuthu.
Santosh Sivan is the film’s cinematographer, which will be their sixth collaboration together. Editor Sreekar Prasad has been roped in for this film.
This is Mani Ratnam’s 26th directorial venture. Known for his slew of romantic films, it was earlier confirmed that Chekka Chivandha Vaanam will be an action-thriller.
Actor Simbu has been working out intensely for this project with Mani Ratnam. The actor was last seen in Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan, that bombed at the box office.
It was earlier confirmed that actor Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as a cop in the film.
