The first look poster of the Mammootty starrer One is out and is going viral among his fans. The megastar is playing the Chief Minister of Kerala in this film and the name of his character in it is Kadakkal Chandran. In the poster, Mammootty is seen seated on a chair wearing glasses, a white shirt and dhoti.

Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Renji Panicker, Sreenivasan, Joju George and Murali Gopy have been roped in for important roles in One. Ishaani Krishna, sister of Ahaana Krishna, is making her acting debut in the movie. There was also a recent report that Nimisha Sajayan might be part of the film.

The film, directed by Santhosh Viswanath, is written by the duo Bobby and Sanjay. It is bankrolled by ICHAIS Productions. The muhurat of One happened a few weeks ago and the shooting is in progress.

It may be noted here that Mammootty has played the chief minister of Tamil Nadu in the Tamil film Makkal Aatchi way back in 1997. The film, directed by RK Selvamani, was dubbed in Malayalam and released under the title Ente Nadu. However, Mammootty’s look in Makkal Aatchi and One is completely different.

Mammootty is currently expecting the release of Mamangam. The film, directed by noted filmmaker M Padmakumar, has reached the final stages of post-production. It is a heavy budget film made on a budget of Rs 50 crore and is expected to hit the marquee on December 12.

Mamangam is a period film based on a medieval fair for the warriors. With Ganesh Rajavelu aka Jim Ganesh wielding the camera, M Jayachandran scoring the music, Sreekar Prasad in charge of the editing, and Kaecha Khamphakdee choreographing the stunts, the film has a strong technical team. It is bankrolled by Venu Kunnampilly under the banner Kavya Films.
