The title and first look of Keerthy Suresh’s upcoming film produced by Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Films has been revealed, right in time for her birthday.

Stone Bench Film’s Twitter handle put out a tweet with the first look poster, also wishing Keerthy on her birthday.

From the film’s poster, it appears that Penguin will star Keerthy as a pregnant woman. The first-look poster shows the silhouette of Keerthy turned to her side and standing amidst mountains in the background. The tweet reads: “She is aggressive, yet gentle.. She is majestic, yet modest.. She is #Penguin (sic).”

The film will release in summer next year. Written and directed by Eshvar Karthic, the film will have music by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography by Kharthik Palani and editing by Anil Krish. The film will be produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam and Passion Studios. It appears that Penguin will release in both Tamil and Telugu. More details on the rest of the cast are yet to be announced.

Penguin will become Karthik Subbaraj’s third production venture after Aviyal and Meyaadha Maan. He has also announced a horror-thriller directed by Rathindran Prasad of Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai fame, starring Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead. Reportedly both these films will be made simultaneously.

Meanwhile, Karthik is busy shooting his next project, rumoured to be titled Ulagam Suttrum Valiban, with Dhanush in London. Believed to be an action thriller with gangster elements, the film features Aishwarya Lekshmi as the female lead.

Keerthy Suresh, meanwhile, will be making her Bollywood debut with Maidaan starring along with Ajay Devgn. The film is being directed by Amit Sharmaand and is produced jointly by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta under their respective banners.

Besides Maidaan, Keerthy has Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, a Malayalam magnum opus in which she shares the screen space with Mohanlal. The film is directed by award winning director Priyadarshan. She has also inked a deal to star opposite Niithin in the Telugu movie Rang De. There are also reports that Keerthy may be debuting in Sandalwood with the Sri Murali starrer Madagaja but there is no official confirmation on this yet.
