The first look and motion poster of Nayanthara’s upcoming flick, Kolamavu Kokila (CoCo) was released on Monday. The motion poster has gained over one lakh views in less than a day.

Written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film also stars Sharanya Ponvannan and Yogi Babu in important roles.

The sound track of the motion poster, “Kaayam Varudhe”, has been composed by Anirudh Ravichandrer and performed by Sean Rolden. It was earlier announced that the first single, "Edhuvariyo", from the film will be released on March 8.

The motion poster has images of bullets, guns and knives in the background, hinting at an action thriller. Nayanthara is seen wearing a backpack with her head bent low. The actor is time and again proving her mettle to lead films.

CoCo marks Anirudh’s collaboration with Nayanthara after Naanum Rowdy Dhaan and Velaikkaran.

Anirudh has also signed up for superstar Rajinikanth’s next project with director Karthik Subbaraj of Jigarthanda fame.

Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, the film is touted to be a dark comedy. Lyca Productions also has a bunch of interesting projects coming up including Sai Pallavi’s Karu, Rajinikanth’s 2.0 and Dhanush’s Vada Chennai.

Nayanthara is gaining a spot for herself in the industry with her choice of strong, female-centric films. Her previous film Aramm, in which she played an assertive IAS officer, was lauded by fans and critics alike.

The actor is also well-known for playing the lead in thrillers like Maya and Dora.

Nayanthara has a couple of thrillers in Tamil, Imaikkaa Nodigal and Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, up her sleeve in addition to Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy in Telugu.

Director Nelson’s previous film Vettai Mannan with Silambarasan, Jai and Hansika got shelved for unknown reasons. Kolamavu Kokila will be Nelson’s directorial debut.
