The teaser of the Fahadh Faasil starrer Varathan created the right impact among the movie buffs when it was unveiled earlier. And now, a new poster of the film, featuring the lead pair Fahadh Faasil and Aishwarya Lekshmi is going viral.

Released recently, the poster seems to bring out the romantic side of the film. It may be mentioned here that the 36-second teaser showed Fahadh banging a bottle on his opponent’s head, which created an impact that Varathan was an action entertainer.

Varathan is directed by Amal Neerad who is bankrolling the project in association with Nazriya Nazim under the banners Amal Neerad Productions and Nazriya Nazim Productions. Incidentally, this will be Nazriya’s first production venture.

The film’s star cast also includes Sharafudheen, Arjun Ashokan of Parava fame, Vijilesh, Dileesh Pothan and Master Chethan Lal, who was seen in Guppy. Littil Swayamp is the cinematographer of this flick while Sushin Shyam is composing music and Vivek Harshan is in charge of editing.

The shooting of Varathan commenced in March this year and has been wrapped up. It is currently in the post-production mode with reports that its makers are aiming for Onam release this year. Varathan has been shot extensively in Vagamon and areas surrounding it with some important portions canned in Dubai.

Ace filmmaker Amal Neerad and Fahadh Faasil teamed up for the first time for Iyobinte Pusthakam in 2014 and the film turned out to be a big hit. It was produced jointly by Amal Neerad and Fahadh Faasil under the banners Amal Neerad Productions and Fahadh Faasil and Friends Pvt Ltd and went on to win several awards including the National Award for Best Cinematography. They are teaming up for Varathan after a gap of four years, which has upped the expectation levels.
