"Iyobinte Pusthakam", a movie that has been hyped as a period thriller, is directed by Amal Neerad. The story of the film is set in the period span of 1914-46, the colonial era in Kerala.
Fahadh Fasil plays role of Aloshi Gomber, who faces several problems in life and his family and Lal will play the title role of Iyob who is Aloshi's father.
Jayasurya will be seen in the movie in a new look as a Tamil Muslim merchant, Angoor Rawther. Isha Sharwani will play role of Martha, and will be seen as Aloshi's partner.
