The Fahadh Faasil starrer Athiran is getting ready for release this Vishu and the post production of the film is happening full swing. Pictures of Fahadh dubbing for the film have been online and they are going viral. With the dubbing process on, we gather that the post production of Athiran is coming to an end and its release schedule is right on track.

Directed by debutant Vivek, the film’s technical crew includes music director Jayahari for soundtrack and Ghibran to score the background music while Anu Moothedath has cranked the camera and Ayoob Khan has done the editing.

It may be recalled here that the film’s writer PF Mathew said in an earlier interview to Silverscreen.in that Fahadh plays a doctor in Athiran. He was quoted by Silverscreen as saying, “It’s a thriller set in a mental hospital in a hill station and Fahadh Faasil essays the role of doctor.”

On the other characters in the film, he said, “Sai Pallavi plays one of the two lead characters in the movie. Prakash Raj appears in a pivotal role, although it is not a full-fledged one. Atul Kulkarni plays a character that appears throughout the movie.”

A major portion of the film was shot at the picturesque locations in Ooty. The cast of Athiran also includes Surabhi, Sudev Renji Panicker, Lena and Shanthi Krishna in supporting roles. The film is produced by Century Kochumon through the production company Century Investments.

Sai Pallavi’s debut in the film industry was with the Malayalam film Premam in which she played one of the love interests of Nivin Pauly, as Malar teacher. Her character and the song ‘Malare’ became very popular at the time.

She went on to act in another Malayalam film callled Kali, opposite Dulquer Salman, in 2016. Athiran would therefore make her comeback to Malayalam after three years.
