Estonia’s President Toomas Ilves refused to continue an interview with Sky News while on air, after its anchor Dermot Murnaghan got his “name wrong”.

In a video that is being circulated on Youtube, the President is seen ripping off his glasses and taking the earpiece down, after the presenter addressed him as President Hendrik. Hendrik is the Estonian President’s middle name.

The President refused to continue on air, after reprimanding the reporter nearby for “not getting his name right”.

The exasperated President rolled his eyes, after which the anchor rolled on to the weather segment quickly.

A report that appeared on The Independent claimed that the interview with Mr Ilves, who was talking via video link from Munich, was resumed later in the day.

The interview was scheduled to discuss Ilves’s response to Vladmir Putin being described as “a mid-twentieth century tyrant” by United Kingdom foreign secretary Philip Hammond.
