Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph are teaming up again after the mega success of their last outing together, Drishyam. The film has Trisha playing the female lead and we now hear that Durga Krishna has been roped in to play an important role in it.
Sources inform us that Durga will be seen as Trisha’s little sister in the film. Plans are on to start the shooting of this yet to be titled film next month and the groundwork for it is currently on. Reports suggest that the team will be shooting in various locations in Kerala, Kolkata and England.
In the meantime, Mohanlal will be completing the shooting of Big Brother. The film was supposed to release for Christmas this year but now it stands postponed to next year.
Big Brother, directed by Siddique, has Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan, Anoop Menon, Sarjano Khalid, Satna Titus and others in the star cast. While Mohanlal, Anoop Menon and Sarjano Khalid play brothers in this flick, Arbaaz will be seen as a police officer. It may be noted here the Mohanlal and Siddique had teamed up for Vietnam Colony and Ladies and Gentlemen in the past and Big Brother is their third outing together.
Mohanlal also has Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham waiting for release early next year. The shooting of this historical was wrapped up some months ago and it is currently into the post production mode.
Directed by Priyadarshan, the film has Mohanlal playing the title role. Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham is based on the true life of Kunjali Marakkar IV, who is the most popular of the Marakkars. It will have extensive sea warfare sequences which will be its highlight. The film’s technical crew includes cinematographer Tirru and editor MS Ayyappan Nair.
