On working with Dulquer, Sonam reportedly told Deccan Chronicle, “Dulquer is really cute and such a good actor. I have seen his film OK Kanmani and he was fabulous in that. I really liked him in that movie and I have a history of working with south Indian actors. Dhanush was launched with Raanjhanaa, so I think I work well with them. I haven’t started prepping with Dulquer. It’s starting in August so I am looking forward to working with him. We will start in August or September.”

The shooting for this film, as stated by Sonam Kapoor, will begin in August or September this year and the filmmakers are planning its release in April next year. In the movie, Sonam will play the main character, Zoya Singh Solanki, on whom the story revolves, and Dulquer will be seen playing the cricket team captain, Nikhil Khoda. According to reports, Dulquer, who is busy with a bunch of film assignments, will be undergoing special coaching in cricket prior to the commencement of the shooting to get into the skin of the character he plays.
