Dulquer Salmaan is undoubtedly one of the most established heroes in tinsel town. He has made a mark for himself in the Malayalam and Tamil film industries and will soon set his foot in Bollywood with Karwaan.
While he has made it clear that films are all that he wants to be associated with, Dulquer is also looking forward to direction. In a recent interview , the star said that though he has been thinking of some storylines, he still hasn’t put them down on paper.
Dulquer was quoted as saying, “As for writing, I am very bad at putting pen to paper. But I have broad storylines in my head. But before anything else, it's direction that I want to do. I have always been fascinated with direction. But then, I didn't want to make it look like I am running away from acting or the comparisons to my father. So, I decided to face the fear head on and became an actor. As for production, I would like to support smaller films and ideally not produce my own movies. I have the time to do only five to six films a year, so I would like to associate myself with films that I am unable to do, and those that have great and newer content.”
The star is currently busy with the multi-lingual Mahanati in which he plays the legendary actor Gemini Ganesan. It is a biopic on actor Savitri and he plays her husband in it. Dulquer also has the highly anticipated Solo, a bilingual that is directed by Bejoy Nambiar.
