Dulquer Salmaan floated his production house Wayfarer Films some months ago and is currently producing five movies under the banner. Maniyarayile Ashokan, Kurup, director Anoop Sathyan’s multi-starrer film, Joy Mathew’s directorial, and a cop film by filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews are in the pipeline.
Maniyarayile Ashokan, which has Jacob Gregory in the lead, is Dulquer’s first production venture. The film has Anupama Parameswaran, Anu Sithara, Shritha Sivadas, Nayana Elza, Krishna Shankar and others in the cast. Shamsu Zayba is directing the film for which Vineeth Krishnan has penned the script.
Kurup is scripted by Daniell Sayooj Nair and KS Aravind while Jithin K Jose has penned the story. Dulquer Salmaan plays the title role in it. It was reported some time ago that the actor will be sporting several get-ups as his role demands. Srinath Rajendran is wielding the megaphone for this venture which is based on the life of the most elusive accused to date, Sukumara Kurup.
The shooting of the Anoop Sathyan directorial is currently on. Dulquer is again playing the male lead. Kalyani Priyadarshan has been signed up to play a pivotal role in the project. Veteran actors Suresh Gopi, Urvashi and Shobana are also part of the cast. Anoop Sathyan is not only wielding the megaphone for this venture but also scripting it.
Dulquer is also teaming up with actor-director Joy Mathew for a political thriller. The prep work for this project is already on and we hear that the shooting is most likely to commence in January next year. While the buzz is that Dulquer will be seen as a politician in this film, all that the director revealed in an interview is that it will be a completely different role, something the star’s fans haven’t seen thus far.
Finally, there is Rosshan Andrrews’s film, in which Dulquer will again play the lead. We hear that it will start rolling in April. Noted writer duo Bobby – Sanjay will be scripting the Dulquer Salmaan starrer. An interesting detail that has surfaced about this film is that it is a cop drama and Dulquer will be seen donning the khaki.
