Amy Jackson has confirmed that she is done shooting for the Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 with the team wrapping up a song schedule in Mumbai recently.
The actor had tweeted, “Aaaand that’s a wrap for ‘2.0’. The past 2 and a half years have been an absolute rollercoaster... but the outcome will knock ya socks offf!"
Having confirmed that she has completed shooting for her portions in the magnum opus, Amy flew down to Canada to shoot for the CW’s series, Supergirl, in which she will be seen as the Saturn Girl.
The talkie portions of 2.0 was wrapped up some months ago and the post production is going on at a brisk pace. With the song, the team is said to have wrapped up the entire shooting. Reports say that this sci-fi will be high on visual effects and the team is leaving no stone unturned for best results.
Sequel to the 2010 hit flick Endhiran / Robo, the film has the same core team – Shankar, Rajinikanth, and AR Rahman – collaborating. Produced by Lyca Productions’ A Subhashkaran, the film has been made on a budget of Rs. 450 crores.
Shankar is donning the director’s robes for 2.0 with the Oscar winning music director AR Rahman composing the tunes. Nirav Shah has cranked the camera with Anthony editing the film. Mary E. Vogt has designed the special costumes and the stunts are choreographed by Kenny Bates.
The film’s visual effects are done by John Hughes and Walt Jones. Bollywood star Akshay Kumar plays the main villain in the film with the star cast also including Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shajohn and Riyaz Khan. 2.0 will release on January 25.
