The News Minute | March 6, 2015 | 12.20 PM ISTKerala Government's Chief Whip P.C. George has submitted evidence to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy against former Director General of Police (DGP) M.N. Krishnamurthy alleging that he tried to help Mohammed Nisham, the beedi tycoon accused of murdering security guard Chandrabose. George had earlier informed media that the DGP had “inappropriate” ties with Mohammed Nisham, who has been charged with murder of 50-year-old Chandrabose, a security guard at an apartment in Thrissur. Now the Chief Whip has confirmed that he has handed over the evidence in a compact disc (CD) along with a detailed letter to the Chief Minister, in which he has explained that the former DGP Krishnamurthy was also involved in the case.George has alleged that M.N. Krishnamurthy called the investigative officer Jacob Job and informed him that the current DGP  Balasubramaniam wanted to save Nisham from this case and that since the current DGP had limitations, Krishnamurthy was acting as a middleman.Reports say that the CD contains the audio conversation between the former DGP and former police commissioner of Thirssur Jacob Job.George had earlier claimed that former Thrissur Police Commissioner Jacob Job had been made a scapegoat. He had alleged that Job was suspended because he ensured that the investigation was carried out in due process.“Jacob Job carried out the investigation properly. It was DGP’s (Krishnamurthy) plan to remove him from the investigation. Majority of the police officers are Nisham’s aides. The DGP is trying hard to avoid involving Nisham’s wife in this issue” George alleged. However, Krishnamurthy has reacted that he has no relationship with any such anti-socials.TweetFollow @thenewsminute
