Baahubali – the Beginning was a massive hit when it released a couple of years ago and the sequel, Baahubali – the Conclusion is getting ready for release on April 28 worldwide.

A trailer of the sequel was launched recently and it did raise the expectation levels much higher, with the grandiose that the film promises.

While there have been various speculations about the film’s budget and the profits it must have yielded, Shobu Yarlagadda, one of the producers, reportedly said in an event that they did not make any profits with Baahubali – the Beginning

The producers added that they are hoping to get massive returns with the release of the sequel. The combined budget of both the films is said to be around the range of Rs 400 to Rs 450 crores.

Shobu was reported to have said at the event that, “The first part didn’t make any money. That’s what I can tell you. With the second one, we will make a lot of money, which will compensate what we didn’t make with the first part.”

This also comes at a time when it was announced that director SS Rajamouli wanted to screen the first of the film franchise, before the sequel’s release.

"We are planning to release part one maybe one or two weeks before the release of part two in southern states so that people can get back into the narrative," Rajamouli was quoted as saying.

Directed by SS Rajamouli, Baahubali stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tammannah and Sathyaraj. Keeravani has scored the music for this magnum opus.
