'Dhruva Natchathiram' teaser out, Vikram fans relieved

After the 'Saamy 2' trailer gathered a negative response, the teaser of 'Dhruva Natchathiram' has made fans happy.

After a long wait, the teaser for Gautham Menon’s upcoming action flick with Vikram, Dhruva Natchathiram, was released on June 5. The director took to Twitter to launch the film’s teaser.

The teaser is more of a sequenced, well-timed stitching of rushes, arranged to sync with the music, thereby creating the perfect action-flick effect. There’s plenty of gun shots, bodies falling and punches raining on faces. The teaser also has high octane stunt sequences.

Shot in seven different countries, the film began production in January 2017. Tipped to be the biggest in Gautham Menon's career, the film has a big cast. Aishwarya Rajesh, Ritu Varma, actor-filmmaker Parthiepan, Radikaa Sarath Kumar, TV show host and actor Dhivyadarshini and Simran will be seen playing pivotal roles in the film. Harris Jayaraj is composing the music for the film.

It was earlier announced that Malayalam actor Vinayakan, best known for his work in Kammatippadam, has been roped in to play the antagonist.

Tipped to be a spy thriller on the lines of the Bourne franchise, this film will feature Vikram in the role of a secret agent, sporting a salt-and-pepper look.

The film’s first teaser came out in January 2017 and there was another in August that year. From the teasers, we gather that Vikram plays the role of John who goes in search of his mentor Mr K who has been abducted.

The film’s distribution rights have been purchased by Lyca Productions. Director Gautham Menon recently came under the spotlight for his tussle with Director Karthick Naren. Karthick is currently working on Naragasooran, produced by Gautham Menon and a misunderstanding between the two lead to an online spat that garnered attention.

Gautham Menon is also working on his Ondraga multi starrer. Actor Vikram’s Saamy Square is ready to hit the screens soon. However, the trailer of the film got a negative response from fans. The teaser of Dhruva Natchathiram, on the other hand, has been received well.
