The shooting of the Dhanush starrer Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta, produced and directed by Gautham Menon, will resume this month, say sources. The film’s shooting was stalled as Dhanush was busy with various other acting assignments.

With just a few more scenes to be filmed, the director is expected to be done with it by this month. The production work of Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta began in 2016 and was delayed for various reasons, including the fact that Gautham Menon was busy concentrating in his other project Dhruva Natchathiram.

The film has Dhanush and Megha Akash playing the lead pair with M Sasi Kumar and Sunaina in pivotal roles. The Baahubali star Rana Daggubati will be seen making a cameo appearance in Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta.

Darbuka Siva is the music composer for this flick, while the camera is been handled by Manoj Pramahamsa and Jomon T John. Praveen Anthony is the editor for the film. Reports are that Gautham Menon will be wrapping up this film by this month and move over to the Vikram starrer Dhruva Natchathiram.

Both Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta and Dhruva Natchathiram are expected to be out at the theatres this year.

In an recent interview to TOI, Gautham confirmed that he has plans for Yennai Arindhaal 2 with Ajith Kumar. “Yeah, Yennai Arindhaal 2 bound script is going on, a lot of writing has been happening, it is going slowly, I told him when I meet you next time, I’ll be ready with the full script, so, I am just seeing if that will happen.”

Dhanush, meanwhile, has a bunch of films in different stages of production including Vada Chennai and Maari 2.

It may be noted here that Gautham Menon first revealed about Ena Nokki Paayum Thotta in 2013 and Suriya was supposed to play the lead role in it. However, the project did not take off at that time and the director decided to work on Dhruva Natchathiram. Both these films failed to take off at that time with Suriya refusing to be a part of it. Eventually, the director signed up Vikram for Dhruva Natchathiram and Dhanush for Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta.
