Darshan may soon team up for a movie with the Vishnuvardhana fame director Pon Kumar. The director shot to limelight with his debut film Vishnuvardhana which had Kiccha Sudeep playing the lead role. However, after this film, Pon Kumar wasn’t able to sustain his success as some of his films turned out to be box office duds.

And now, he is all set to come back with a bang with Darshan agreeing to work with him. Reports are that Darshan has given his go-ahead to star in Pon Kumar’s upcoming directorial. The film will be produced by Shylaja Nag and B Suresh. Apparently, Darshan had agreed to star in the movie to be produced by this production house much earlier but it was postponed as his films got delayed.

Darshan is currently busy with the magnum opus Kurukshetra, which is being directed by Naganna and produced by Muni Ratna under his banner KCN Cinemas. It is a magnum opus made on a budget of Rs. 60 crores. In this epic historical, which is based on Mahabharata, Darshan plays Duryodhana and the story is narrated from his point of view. It may be mentioned that Kurukshetra happens to be the star’s 50th film.

His next release would be Tarak in which he plays the title role. Directed by Milana Prakash, the film has Sruthi Hariharan and Shanvi Srivastava playing the female leads. Arjun Janya has composed music for Tarak. The film will be out on the silver screens on September 29, 2017 to cash in on the long Dusshera and Gandhi Jayanthi weekend.

With Tarak getting ready for release and Kurukshetra’s shooting progressing at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, Darshan is pleased with the way his career is taking shape after having to deal with the delays.
