The Darshan starrer Robert will go on to the floors on April 19 this year. The filmmakers are planning to hold the photo shoot right after Ugadi. The first schedule, which will begin in Bengaluru, will go for 45 days followed by the other schedules that will happen at various locations in Chennai, Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad.

Darshan’s character in the film is named Robert and director Tharun Sudhir has put an end to all guesswork by pointing out that the character will have nothing to do with the star’s cameo role in Chowka.

Darshan is currently busy with Odeya which is progressing at a brisk pace. A schedule of this film was shot recently in Mysuru and reports are that the next schedule will begin in Hyderabad later this week. Apparently, Odeya will have Darshan in two different roles. Wielding the megaphone for Odeya is MD Sridhar. Earlier, the film was titled Woderyar but eventually the title was changed to Odeya to avoid controversies. The film will be bankrolled by Darshan’s close friend Sandesh Nagraj under the banner Sandesh Productions. Raghavi Thimmayya plays the female lead in this flick.

Darshan’s last film release was Yajamana which hit the marquee earlier this month. Rashmika Mandanna played his heroine in it with Tanya Hope as the other heroine. Dhananjay, Thakur Anoop Singh and Devaraj were in the supporting roles. Bankrolled by Shylaja Nag and B Suresha, Yajamana is directed by Pon Kumaran. V Hari Krishna not only composed the tunes for Yajamana but is also credited as its creative head for penning the story along with director Pon Kumaran.

The star is also awaiting the release of the magnum opus Kurukshetra. It is a historical which is made on a very high budget. Darshan plays Duryodhana in this flick.
