The muhurat of the upcoming Darshan starrer Gandugali Madakari Nayaka happened at Chitradurga on Monday, December 2. The team conducted special poojas at the Shri Barageramma and Ekanatheshwari temples to commence the proceedings with the blessings of the deities. The film will officially go on the floors on December 6 in Bengaluru. Directed by Rajendra Singh Babu, Gandugali Madakari Nayaka will be produced by well-known producer Rockline Venkatesh under his banner.

Gandugali Madakari Nayaka is inspired by the historical novel penned by BL Venu and the director has done extensive research as well to get the characterisation right. The technical crew of this film will comprise Hamsalekha for music and Ashok Kashyap for cinematography. The film will be shot at various locations in Chitradurga, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Rajasthan.

Darshan currently has Odeya gearing up for release on December 12. Wielding the megaphone for Odeya is MD Sridhar. The film is bankrolled by Darshan’s close friend Sandesh Nagraj under the banner Sandesh Productions. Raghavi Thimmayya (Sanah Thimmayya) plays the female lead in this flick. The actor had mentioned earlier that she got the offer to star in Odeya after she had auditioned for it, and the competition was tough.

Oedya has Krishna Kumar cranking the camera with the background score by V Harikrishna, and music by Arjun Janya. Yashas, Pankaj, Niranjan, Samarth, Ravi Shankar, Devaraj, Sadhu Kokila, Chikkanna, and Avinash are forming the supporting cast of Odeya. The shooting of Odeya was wrapped up in Switzerland last month with the team canning a song sequence in the picturesque locations. It may be noted that Darshan had wrapped up the shooting of his other film Roberrt some time ago and also completed dubbing for the film. Tharun Sudhir is helming the project as its director.
