Darshan has done the voiceover for the teaser of the Manoranjan Ravichandran starrer Prarambha. The idea behind having the star do the voiceover is to take it to a larger section of the audiences, say sources. The Prarambha teaser launch is scheduled to happen on Friday, August 23, and the news that Darshan has provided the voiceover has upped the expectation levels. Sharing screen space with Manoranjan in this entertainer is Keerti Kalakeri. Manu Kalyadi is wielding the megaphone for this venture.

In an interview to TNIE earlier, Manoranjan had said, “A good film is always the best gift and I am happy to go with a whole new team… I am putting myself at risk, but it is challenging not to follow the regular format of masala cinema. As newcomers, we can experiment with new kinds of films.”

It may be noted here that Manoranjan, V Ravichandran’s eldest son, made his debut in Sandalwood with the film Saheba in 2017. It was directed by Bharath and earned the hero positive reviews for his performance. In 2018, Manoranjan’s second film Brihaspathi made it to the silver screens.

Meanwhile, Darshan is elated over his mythological drama Kurukshetra doing well at the theatres. The actor plays Duryodhana in this film based on the epic Mahabharata and the story is told from his perspective. Kurukshetra is bankrolled by Muniratna under his banner KCN Movies. The film also has the late star Ambareesh, Arjun Sarja, Sonu Sood, V Ravichandran, Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Sneha, Hariprriya, Meghana Raj and P Ravi Shankar in pivotal roles.

Kurukshetra, which is directed by Naganna, has an impressive technical crew as well. Jayanan Vincent has cranked the camera for this film with Jo Ni Harsha doing the editing. Inspired by the poem Gadhayuddha, penned by the Kannada poet Ranna, the screenplay for it was written by JK Bharavi.
