Haritha John|The News minute | February 2, 2015 | 3.00 pm ISTA group of men attacked the house of two year old Niya, a two-year-old girl, touted as CPI (M) youngest cadre who participated in the red volunteer rally conducted in Kannur on January 31.Niya’s pictures in red volunteer uniform had been taking rounds in social media during the last two days.On Sunday morning a gang allegedly threw a crude bomb at her house. Her father Jithesh a party worker alleges that their house was attacked because Niya’s participation had become big news.“It happened at 1 am on Sunday. It did not happen in any other houses, so we believe the child was the issue. I don’t have any personal rivals, so political rivals like RSS can be behind this,” Jithesh told The News Minute.Niya who took part in the rally along with her parents was the centre of attraction at the event in which many senior communist leaders participated.CPIM has alleged that RSS was behind the attack. Koothuparamba police has registered the case.“One crude bomb was thrown at the house. Since it fell in the courtyard, no one was injured. We have registered the case and have started the enquiry.” Koothuparamba police Sub Inspector said.Tweet
