In a bid to encourage women in tech who have returned to the workforce after maternity leave, Bengaluru-based Crediwatch will be organising sHeACK – a two-day hackathon for ‘returning moms’.

The hackathon, which will take place on December 14-15, 2019 in Creditwatch’s office in Bengaluru, is open to mothers who have had over 3 years of prior work experience in technology.

The women will be given a set of problems that they will need to find solutions for.

The hackathon is part of Crediwatch’s women-empowerment initiative and aims to serve as a platform for returning moms who code to showcase their problem-solving skills. It will also help them take a break from their hectic schedules.

Registrations for the hackathon are now open. Walk in registrations will also be accepted.

The first day of sHeACK will be about introducing the concept of the hackathon and the various rounds of the competition will be explained to participants. The prizes will also be revealed during the keynote talk.

Following this, the hackthon will begin with the participants brainstorming and working on solutions for the problems.

The hackathon will continue on the second day with another introductory session. This will be followed by presentations, feedback from judges, the announcement of winners and the prize ceremony.
