Bigg Boss Tamil Season 3 is little over a week old but the reality TV show might be setting new precedents in terms of suspense quotient seen on Tamil television. Actor Vanitha Vijayakuamar, one of the show’s participants, will be visited by the Telangana police regarding a complaint filed by her estranged husband.

Chennai’s Nazarathpet police confirmed to TNM that they have indeed given Telangana’s Alwal police permission to conduct their investigation at the Bigg Boss sets erected inside EVP Film City (Chembarambakkam). “It is just a formal inquiry. No arrests are taking place. The actor’s ex-husband had filed a complaint that she took illegal custody of their daughter. The police are here to get her statement,” said a police officer from Nazarathpet.

Vanitha Vijayakumar, who is the oldest daughter of yesteryear celebrity couple Vijayakumar and the late Manjula, married Anand Rajan in 2007. The couple who divorced in 2012 have two daughters, Jovika and Jaynitha. This complaint has been filed regarding Jovika’s custody.

Meanwhile, reports and rumours have also emerged stating that actor Meera Mithun, who entered the house a few days later, might also be visited by the police for a different case. Bigg Boss Tamil which began airing on June 23 on Vijay TV has a total of 16 participants. The Chennai based model and actor who won the Super Model Miss South India 2016 title, made her film debut with crime thriller 8 Thottakkal, and was also seen in the Suriya starrer Thaanaa Serndha Koottam directed by Vignesh Shivn.

A report on Silverscreen.in states that the actor has been charged with money laundering in a complaint filed by a designer. Organisers of Bigg Boss refused to confirm this news but added, without revealing much, that the police have indeed visited the sets. Such high drama has happened in Bigg Boss Marathi where just last month, Satara police arrested contestant Abhijit Bichukale on a cheque bouncing case.

With a lot of speculation is doing the rounds, the upcoming episode in Bigg Boss might turn out to be the most dramatic and suspenseful one yet.
