But the killers of Left leader from Kerala, TP Chandrashekhar are being given privileges that need to be questioned strongly. On Wednesday, the convicts on their way back to the Thrissur Central jail from the district court were allowed to stop at a liquor shop and purchase liquor bottles.The convicts including Mohammad Shafi, the fifth accused in the case, bought two imported liquor bottles and then proceeded towards the jail. But news spread and agitated people intercepted the vehicle on its way to the jail. The crowd which gathered forced local police officers to inspect the vehicle and seize the bottles.Five police officers who had accompanied the convicts to the jail have now been suspended and Kerala Police has ordered an enquiry. TP Chandrashekhar, a local Left leader was hacked to death in 2012. His murder became a huge political controversy as CPM leaders and cadres were accused of being part of the conspiracy.
