Flyin is also a prominent online travel aggregator in that country and observers see this as a first of its kind association between 2 overseas travel portals.

It could be a win-win partnership for both Cleartrip and Flyin as the geography they have chosen to operationalize their association, namely the MENA region, (Middle East & North America) has emerged as a region with a huge potential. While the prosperity in the Middle East is well known, many African countries have performed exceedingly well in creating infrastructure, like internet connectivity etc. and the businesses in these North African nations have also grown exponentially. All this augur well for travel agencies as growing economies offer better class of travelers for them. As mentioned the region enjoys a very rate of connected devices and online travel aggregators will have it coming once they mark their presence.

The new arrangement with Flyin will add a lot of spice to its product offerings and widen the customer base as well. With both the firms considered leaders in their own way, their association will result in benefitting both.

The managements of both Cleartrip and Flyin believe they have a winning combination and are best placed to leverage each other’s strengths to the benefit of their customers. The offerings will include travel, hotels and even local sightseeing and other activities. They may come up with packages targeted at different groups for this as well.

Technology is another area they see some synergies improving the overall experience for their customers. Being a pureplay online business, they have a larger responsibility to satisfy and please their customers.

The association between Cleartrip and Flyin will take effect as soon as the mandatory approvals are obtained.

For the record, Cleartrip handles 10 million flight tickets in a year and on the hotel rooms booking front, 1.5 million room nights get booked through their website. It has been awarded multiple times for its performance.
