The shooting of the Telugu magnum opus Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has been happening at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad for the past few days. Important scenes in the film will be shot here after which the team will be moving over to Vikarabad forests for a schedule. Once this is done and on their return, director Surendar Reddy is planning to shoot a special song sequence with star Chiranjeevi and Tammannah. Incidentally, this will be the first time Tammannah will be seen shaking a leg with Chiru and therefore expectations are high. Preparations are on to film this song at the Annapurna Studios where sets are being erected for the purpose. Besides Tammannah, this period film also has Anushka Shetty appearing in a cameo.

Earlier this month, a massive fire broke out on the sets of the film. The team had erected a fort set on the farmland belonging to Chiranjeevi in Kokapet where the shooting was in progress. Reports are that the sets went ablaze due to electric short circuit but no casualties have been reported.

The technical crew of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy includes Amit Trivedi for music with editor Sreekar Prasad in charge of the editing and Randy Rathnavelu handling the camera.

Sye Raa, which has Chiru in the titlular role, is being bankrolled by Ram Charan Teja under his home banner Konidela Production Company on a budget of Rs 200 crore. It has a bevy of stars from different film industries including Amitabh Bachchan who will be seen making a guest appearance as Gosayi Venkanna. Apparently, he plays Uyyalalwada Narasimha’s mentor in the film. The others in the star cast are Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Tamannaah, Jagapathi Babu, Kiccha Sudeep, Pragya Jaiswal and Brahmaji. It is a trilingual that will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

It may be noted here that the film unit had completed a major schedule in Georgia where they had shot the all-important war sequence. This will be a visual treat for the audiences and has come out well, say sources.
