Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film with director Koratala Siva will soon commence shooting with a song and a few other scenes planned first. As per latest updates, the untitled film may also see Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja play a crucial role in it.
Earlier reports stated that the Megastar would be seen in two roles in the movie, one as a 30-year-old man and another as an elderly man. It now seems that his son Ram Charan will be assaying the role of the younger man, upon the insistence of director Koratala Siva.
Chiranjeevi will be playing the role of a man named Acharya, who is a Naxalite turned social reformer. An official confirmation regarding his role is expected to be out soon.
South Indian actor Trisha has been signed up to play the female lead in this flick and the makers of the film are still on the lookout for another heroine. Trisha earlier worked with Chiranjeevi in Stalin earlier. This is the first time that director Koratala Siva will be teaming up with the Megastar.
The film will be bankrolled jointly by Ram Charan under his banner Konidela Production Company and Niranjan Reddy’s Matinee Entertainment.
The Megastar was last seen in Sye Raa, which was based on the legendary freedom fighter, and ended up being a massive hit. Chiranjeevi played the titular role. Sye Raa was bankrolled by his son, actor Ram Charan Teja under his home banner Konidela Production Company on a budget of Rs 200 crores. It had a bevy of stars from different film industries including Amitabh Bachchan, Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Tamannaah, Jagapathi Babu, Kiccha Sudeep, Pragya Jaiswal and Brahmaji.
