Can Mahesh Babu vs Allu Arjun clash be averted?

Mahesh Babu’s ‘Bharath Ane Nenu’ and Allu Arjun’s ‘Naa Peru Surya’ are both scheduled to release on April 27.

One big question that is doing the rounds in Tollywood is: can the Mahesh Babu vs Allu Arjun movie release clash be averted?

With both the biggies aiming to release their respective films on April 27, it looks like the clash cannot be averted, at least for now. Reports say that too many films are in the pipeline for release during the summer season this year, following which the filmmakers have no other option but to stick to their earlier plans, no matter what.

While Ram Charan Teja’s Rangasthalam will be out during the fag end of March, Gopichand’s Pantham and Bellamkonda Srinivas’ Saakshyam are slated for a mid-May release. This means that both Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya and Mahesh Babu’s Bharath Ane Nenu will have to stick to their current release date – April 27.

It may be mentioned here that earlier the filmmakers were waiting to announce the release date of their films as they did not want a clash with the Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 directed by Shankar. However, with this magnum opus moving out of the summer release race, Tollywood filmmakers are gearing up to release their movies to cash in on the summer rush.

Naa Peru Surya, starring Allu Arjun and Anu Emmauel as the lead pair, also has Arjun Sarja, Sarathkumar and Thakur Anoop Singh in crucial roles. The film will mark the directorial debut of ace writer Vakkantham Vamsi. This film is produced by Sirisha Lagadapati, Sridhar Lagadapati, Bunny Vasu and K Nagendra Babu under the banner of Ramalakshmi Cine Creations. The music has been composed by the Bollywood duo Vishal - Shekhar with Rajeev Ravi cranking the camera and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao editing it.

Mahesh Babu’s Bharath Ane Nenu, directed by Koratala Siva, is touted to be a political thriller. The actor plays the Chief Minister for the first time in his career and his fans are waiting eagerly for this never-before-seen avatar. The film has Kiara Advani playing the female lead with Rama Prabha, Sarathkumar and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles. Produced by DVV Dhanayya under the banner DVV Entertainments, the film has music by Devi Sri Prasad and Ravi K Chandran cranking the camera.
