Ever since Vinaya Vidheya Rama turned out to be a box office dud, there have been various reports of director Boyapati Srinivas being in trouble. Also, the ugly spat between the director and the film’s producer following the box office debacle is now the talk of the tinsel town.

Meanwhile, sources in the know say that some producers have decided to back off from projects that were to be directed by Boyapati. But we hear N Balakrishna is still interested in having Boyapati direct his upcoming film. The duo has worked together in Simha and Legend earlier and both the films turned out to be big hits in their career. It looks like they are set for a hat trick now.

Interestingly, in both Simha and Legend, Balayya was seen in dual roles. This gives rise to a speculation that Boyapati may have a dual role subject for the star yet again. But it is too early to speculate on it now.

Boyapati’s last film release was Vinaya Vidheya Rama which hit the marquee for Sankaranthi amidst a lot of expectations. As the film did not do well at the box office, Ram Charan recently released a statement stating that he has taken full responsibility over the failure of the film.

VVR had Ram Charan Teja and Kiara Advani playing the lead pair. The film’s technical crew includes Devi Sri Prasad for music, Rishi Punjabi and Arthur A. Wilson for cinematography and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao for editing. DVV Dhanayya had bankrolled the project under his banner Dhanayya Entertainments.

Balayya’s last film release was the NTR biopic and he will be associating with director VV Vinayak for the film titled Kranthi. After the star is done with the VV Vinayak directorial, he is expected to work with Boyapati. In the meanwhile, the director will be finishing the script and be done with the prep work. Reports are that this film may be a 2020 release.
