It was announced some time ago that the Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film directed by Trivikram Srinivas and the Ram Charan Teja starrer Rangasthalam 1985, directed by Sukumar would be a Sankranti release next year.

While movie buffs have been eagerly waiting for the box office clash between Pawan and Ram Charan, who happens to be the former’s nephew, it has now been averted.

According to confirmed reports, the makers of Rangasthalam 1985 have decided to postpone the release to March 30, paving way for Pawan Kalyan’s film release.

While Rangasthalam is out of the Sankranti release race, N Balakrishna’s upcoming film with director KS Ravi Kumar and Ravi Teja’s Touch Chesi Choodu will give a stiff competition to the ‘Power Star’ at the box office.

Touch Chesi Choodu, starring Ravi Teja in the lead role, is directed by Vikram Sirikonda. Written by Srinivasa Reddy with a screenplay by Deepak Raj, the film is produced by Nallamalupu Bujji and Vallabhaneni Vamsi under the banner Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions.

Playing the female lead in it is Raashi Khanna with Seerat Kapoor and Freddy Daruwala in the supporting roles. Richard Prasad is the cinematographer for Touch Chesi Choodu with Gautham Raju editing it. JAM 8 (Apprentice band of Pritam) has worked on the film’s music.

The film was launched earlier this year with plans to release it on December 22. However, the release date has been pushed to January to cash in on the long festive weekend.

With three biggies gearing up for release this festive season, it is going to be one gala Sankranti for the movie buffs.
