On Monday, the BJP’s Twitter handle tweeted a graph explaining the fuel price hike – a contentious issue that even had the Congress call for a Bharat Bandh in protest.
The graph attempted to explain that the hike in fuel price was much steeper during the years of the UPA rule when compared to the current NDA government. The graph shows the fuel prices going up by 20.5% in May 2004-2009 to 75.8% in May 2009-2014 and now, only by 13% in May 2014-2018.

However, people were not buying it. Because despite the steep hike, they were paying lesser per litre back then than they are now.
And so, the Twitterverse came up with their own ingenious way of ‘correcting’ the BJP’s graph.
Here are some of the tweets:

Even the Congress took a dig at the BJP and ‘fixed’ the graph.

And then, Congress also used the opportunity to make an appeal for the 2019 general elections.

Soon, the meme factory and its meme makers were working overtime to produce witty responses to the graph.
