The shooting of the Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum is currently progressing in Attapadi in Kerala at a brisk pace but was halted for quite some time after one of its lead actors, Biju Menon, sustained burn injuries. The actor reportedly got hurt in his hands and legs and was given immediate medical aid. Sources in the know say that the shooting resumed soon after Biju Menon was treated for his burn injuries.

Ayyappanum Koshiyum has Prithviraj and Biju Menon playing the title roles. We hear that Biju Menon will be playing the character Ayappan Nair, a police man, and Prithviraj will be seen as a retired army havildar Koshy Kurien, who had put in 16 years of service.

Reports are that Ayyappanum Koshiyum will be about the two heroes in loggerheads over a minor legal issue. Wielding the megaphone for this venture is Sachy (Sachy – Sethu). It may be noted here that Sachy, Prithviraj and Biju Menon have earlier teamed up for Anarkali in 2015 and they are coming together again for Ayyappanum Koshiyum. This time around, they are collaborating for a mass action entertainer.

Jakes Bejoy is composing the tunes for this flick with Sudeep Elamon cranking the camera and Ranjan Abraham roped in for editing. The film is bankrolled by Ranjith under his banner Gold Coin Motion.

Biju Menon currently has Thuramukham besides a host of other films needing his attention. Nivin Pauly plays the lead role in this film and Biju Menon has a crucial role to do. The film is being directed by noted cinematographer-director Rajeev Ravi.

Biju Menon’s last film release was 41, a socio political satire directed by Lal Jose. He played a school teacher with strong communist ideologies, who has to undertake a Sabarimala pilgrimage. Nimisha Sajayan played the female lead in the film.
