A case has been registered against the organisers of Bigg Boss Telugu after a Hyderabad-based woman journalist said that she had been nominated for the popular reality show's third season, but had been asked for sexual favours to get selected for the final round.

The complainant, who approached the Banjara Hills Police in Hyderabad, said that she received a call in March that she had been selected for the third season of Bigg Boss Telugu

"She accepted the offer and met four members of the reality show. As per the statement, during the meeting, those four members misbehaved with her and asked her to satisfy their boss for the final selection for the show," Banjara Hills Assistant Commissioner of Police K Srinivas Rao, was quoted as saying.

The complainant also accused the four organisers of the show, who have been identified as Abhishek, Ravikanth, Raghu and Shyam, of body-shaming her.

A case has been registered against the four organisers of the reality show under Section 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the IPC. Further investigation is underway.

Akkineni Nagarjuna is all set to host the third season of Bigg Boss Telugu. The first season premiered in 2017 and was hosted by Jr NTR, while the second season, hosted by Nani, also received a good response.

Nagarjuna made his television debut by hosting Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu, the Telugu version of Kaun Banega Crorepati on Maa TV. Though the show was a flop in all other regional languages, Nagarjuna made the Telugu show a success.
