Scriptwriter Bibin George turned an actor and has so far done character roles, villain roles and lead roles as well. According to the latest update, he has found a place in Mammootty’s upcoming film Shylock. Bibin George will have a meaty role in the film and is excited at getting an opportunity to join the star cast.

The Malayalam megastar Mammootty and director Ajai Vasudev are teaming up for Shylock and this is the third time they are working together. The film will have Meena playing the lead role with veteran Tamil actor Raj Kiran in an important role. Interestingly, the film will mark the debut of Raj Kiran in the Malayalam film industry.

Touted to be a family entertainer, the latest is that Mammootty will be playing a character with negative shades. Shylock will be scripted by debutants, Bibin Mohan and Aneesh Hameed. Joby George will be bankrolling the venture under his banner Goodwill Entertainment. Gopi Sundar has been roped in to compose the tunes for this flick with lyrics penned by Harinarayanan. Renadive will be cranking the camera for this venture.

Speaking about Shylock in an interview to the Cinema Express, Mammootty had told much earlier, “Though my character is a rich miser, he is not actually named Shylock. This title was chosen to keep it stylish.” On Raj Kiran’s role in the film, Mammootty had said, “He plays a strong and powerful character; not someone we brought in just to do some stunts. Considering the fact that Rajkiran is a selective actor, I'm happy that he agreed to do this film.”

While the shooting of Shylock commenced earlier this month, Mammootty’s two other films Ganagandharvan and Mamangam have reached the post-production stage. Both these films are likely to hit the marquee by the end of this year.
