Bengaluru police has arrested a 25-year-old man in Peenya near Bengaluru for allegedly sexually harassing two of his neighbour’s children. The man reportedly used biscuits and buns as a bait to get the girls to his home on Saturday.
However, the incident of sexual harassment came to light only a day after. The 10-year-old girl explained to her parents what had happened to her cousin and her.
Bangalore Mirror reported that, the cousins, one 10 years old and the other 7 years old, stayed around Peenya police station limits.
According to the police, preliminary tests confirmed that it the girls faced sexual abuse.
The father of one of the victims told the newspaper that his brother’s daughter and his daughter were playing with a group of 10 girls near their houses on Saturday evening. He alleged that his neighbour Murthy called out to four girls and lured them into his house by giving them biscuits and buns.
The girl’s father alleged, “He told them that he would show them a horror film. On hearing this, two of the girls said they were scared and did not want to see it. He sent them away and locked the main door of his house with our children in. He placed the elder girl on a cupboard, turned on the television and showed them some movie. He made the seven-year-old girl sleep on the bed, stripped her and touched her inappropriately.”
According to the BM report Murthy, who allegedly undressed the two girls, fondled the girl and gagged her mouth when she cried out in pain. He even paid the girls to keep them from revealing what happened to their parents.
The girl’s father said that Murthy did all this when his wife was at work.
“After sexually abusing the seven-year-old girl, he brought down the elder girl and sexually abused her also. Murthy then asked the girls not to reveal the incident to anyone, saying he would pay them Rs 20 each to keep quiet. When Murthy's wife returned and was told about the ordeal the children were put through, she told her neighbours to kill her husband or hand him over to the police,” he added.
