Deputy commissioner of police, Bengaluru, Abhishek Goyal was sent a message on Twitter threatening him on Saturday, hours after the city police arrested Mehdi Masroor Biswas, the man said to be behind Shami Witness, a pro-Islamic State Twitter handle.
Goyal received the message on Saturday night, 'from an apparently pro-IS Twitter handle', reports The Telegraph.

Goyal, one of the two officials who led the operation to arrest Mehdi, told reporters that the threat was "part of the job". "I don't know if it's a serious threat at all and whether it is from any extremist element. But we will seek Twitter's help in identifying the individual or individuals behind it."
Goyal also suggested that a Shami Witness supporter could be behind the 'revenge' tweet, adds The Telegraph.
