Bellamkonda Sreenivas was looking to score a hit and it finally happened with Rakshasudu. With the film doing well at the theatres, Bellamkonda Sreenivas took his time to sign up for his next film. Finally, we have news that the actor will be working with director Santosh Srinivas of Kandireega fame. The director had impressed the actor with an engaging thriller following which he agreed to sign on the dotted line immediately. The project is taking shape quickly and we can expect an official word on the cast and crew soon.

Santosh Srinivas began his career as a cinematographer and cranked the camera for films such as Khatarnak, Takkari, and Rainbow. His maiden film as director was Kandireega, which turned out to be a massive hit. Starring Ram and Hansika in the lead roles, the film was made on a budget of Rs. 15 crore and collected Rs. 30 crore worldwide. Santosh Srinivas has directed Rabhasa, featuring N. T. Rama Rao Jr and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles, and Hyper with Ram Pothineni and Raashi Khanna as the main leads.

Bellamkonda Sreenivas, son of popular producer Bellamkonda Suresh, made his acting debut with Alludu Seenu, which won him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South. He then went on act in Speedunnodu, Jaya Janaki Nayaka and Saakshyam.

His last release Rakshasudu was a psychological thriller directed by Ramesh Varma. The film had Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles with Abhirami, Vinodhini, Suzane George, Kasi Viswanath and others in supporting roles. Rakshasudu was the official remake of the 2018 Tamil film Ratsasan. Ghibran had set the tunes for this flick with Venkat C. Dilip did the cinematography and Amar Reddy handled the editing. The film was produced by Satyanarayana Koneru under his banner A Studio.
