Season 6 of Koffee with Karan, the popular talk show hosted by Bollywood director Karan Johar, saw Baahubali director SS Rajamouli and actors Rana Daggubati and Prabhas share the coffee couch. The one-hour episode had a lot of fun moments with all answering questions spontaneously and with good humour. Interestingly, actor Prabhas shared that this was his very first TV show appearance. The actor also revealed that he was, in general, a very introverted, shy person.
This is the first time that stars from Tollywood are gracing the show and it is interesting to note that Karan Johar had presented the Hindi version of both movies in the Baahubali series.
Beginning with their experience of having worked in the magnum opus Baahubali 1 and 2 for a period of five years to their quirky antics offscreen, the actors and the director shared quite a bit from their lives on the episode.

Actor Prabhas, who admitted that he was a lazy person, also shared that his love for food trumps everything else in life. Director Rajamouli too chipped in with a little more about the actor saying Prabhas’ laziness was possibly a reason for him not getting married yet!

Rajamouli shared that actors Rana and Prabhas are two completely different people with different personas, with Rana being the more organised of the two. He added that he has never been partial to either one of them. To a question on his choice of actors if Baahubali were to be remade in Hindi, Rajamouli said that he could not think of any replacements for the two. On an afterthought, the director said that he might have cast Deepika as Devasena, who is played by Anushka Shetty in the original.

Both Prabhas and Rana opened up about their personal lives and their favourites in the industry during the Koffee Shots and Rapid Fire rounds. Rana revealed that he might call Ranbir and Karan if he wanted to know the latest gossip from the industry and according to him, Tollywood star Mahesh Babu and wife Namrata defined couple goals. While director Rajamouli shared that he has been mistaken for Kattappa – the most popular character from the Baahubali series - the actors too admitted that they’ve been mistaken for each other by fans.

Prabhas shared that actor Anushka is his preferred co-star given that the two share a longstanding friendship in the industry.
Director Rajamouli had a few interesting things to say about the differences between Tollywood and Bollywood. While he declared that director Shankar made better big-scale films in comparison to Sanjay Leela Bhansali, he also said he believed while southern stars had their priorities in place while Bollywood stars seemed to be confused in deciding if they wanted to do what they wanted or what their fans wanted.
The one-hour episode ended with director Rajamouli winning the famed Koffee Hamper and a special gift. Koffee with Karan Season 6 is available for streaming on Hotstar.
