Baahubali is undoubtedly a phenomenal hit! Baahubali – the Conclusion, the sequel to Baahubali – the beginning, hit the marquee on April 28 this year and has turned out to be the highest grosser in the history of Indian cinema. The film entered the Rs 1000-crore club effortlessly and grossed well over Rs 1500 crores.

Adding one more feather to its cap, the BARC Ratings for Indian movies for Week 1 to 27 are out and Baahubali has topped the chart. The Hindi dubbed version of the magnum opus managed to get 8,588,000 impressions in Week 22, which tops the list. Interestingly, Prabhas’ Return of Rebel 2 got 6,360,000 impressions in Week 24, which proves that the success of Baahubali has catapulted the star status of the actor. The Rebel Star is placed in the third position with 6,360,000 impressions; thanks to the humongous success of Baahubali.

Made on a budget of around Rs 450 crore, both Baahubali 1 and 2 are big hits. The film has been directed by SS Rajamouli and produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the banner Arka Media Works. SS Rajamouli’s father and well known writer Vijayendra Prasad had penned the story while MM Keeravani was in charge of the music.

The film had a big star cast that included Prabhas in the title role with Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj, Nasser, Ramya Krishnan and others.
