Thenandal Film's 100th film will be made with a budget of Rs. 250 crores

Producer Murali Ramnaraynan has grand plans for Thenandal Film’s 100th film.

Since its humble beginnings in Chennai in 1976, Thenandal Films has been actively involved in distribution and production with over 99 films to its credit across Tamil, Telugu and other languages till date. Sri Thenandal Films started by late director Rama Narayanan has focused on small budget films.

The 100th film will be made with a budget of Rs. 250 crore on the lines of ‘Magadheera’ and ‘Baahubali’, reported Deccan Chronicle.

In an interview to DC, Murali says, “We have almost locked in on the accredited technicians for the movie. While talks are on with cinematographer Tirru, Sabu Cyril for production design, and Kamala Kannan, who did VFX for Baahubali, we are yet to decide on the music composer.”

Sundar C will reportedly sit on the director’s chair for this untitled project, which is expected to be a period film. It will be a trilingual, simultaneously made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

The director is also reportedly keen to sign up Mahesh Babu and Suriya for the film. Sundar C’s wife Khusbhu also joined the buzz over the project, stating this on Twitter:


The official announcement about the cast and crew will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
