Actor Prabhas’ popularity undoubtedly grew after the release of Baahubali.

The films – Baahubali: the Beginning and Baahubali: the Conclusion – turned out to be massive hits in all the languages that they were released in India.

Baahubali was made in Tamil and Telugu and was released in Hindi and Malayalam amongst other languages.

With the release of Baahubali: the Conclusion earlier this year, Prabhas has moved over to his next project Saaho, which again is multilingual that will be released in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.

Being very selective about the roles he chooses, Prabhas has said that he wants to do Indian movies with a universal appeal.

The Hindustan Times quoted him saying, “I want to do Indian films based on scripts with a universal appeal. The way ‘Baahubali’ has connected with people all over India… it has given us recognition all over the country. It’s a humbling experience. I’m thankful to the entire team. [Filmmaker] SS Rajamouli’s vision worked. His magic worked and something really great happened. We all are going to remember it for the rest of our lives, and that’s beautiful.”

The star is also not averse to doing a Bollywood movie but he will first have to complete his current assignment, Saaho.

In this regard, he had said, “I might do a Bollywood film. I’ve been [getting] some good offers. But I’ll first need to finish ‘Saaho’, and a beautiful love story (that he has signed). The film is set in Europe of the 1960s-70s. We’re planning to wrap them up by June-July next year. After that, I’ll take up a Bollywood film.”

While Prabhas has made up his mind on working in movies that have a pan Indian appeal, he adds that he might take up an international movie if something worthy of his attention crops up.
