A day after BJP MP Kirti Azad dared party colleague Arun Jaitley to lodge defamation cases against him over the alleged corruption in the DDCA, the former is once again in spotlight, this time for a derogatory tweet aimed at the Finance Minister.

On Monday night, Azad tweeted addressing Jaitley, and stated that he is not scared of “napunsaks”.

It would seem that Azad was going for Jaitley with all guns blazing, but just an hour later he tweeted saying his account had been hacked and that the previous tweet was not made by him.

Azad had written around 200 letters to Arun Jaitely during the latter’s tenure as DDCA president between 1999 and 2013. Azad and other former cricketers have alleged that numerous acts of misappropriation and other illegalities have occurred under Jaitley.

Azad, who is an MP from Darbhanga in Bihar, had on Sunday held a press conference making several allegations about numerous irregularities and mismanagement in the running of the DDCA’s affairs during Jaitley’s tenure as president.

The DDCA row erupted last week after the CBI raided the office of the Principal Secretary of the Delhi government following which Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal alleged that the agency was actually interested in files related to the DDCA in which Jaitley was in the dock.

Jaitley has now filed separate criminal and civil defamation cases against Kejriwal and five other senior AAP leaders, seeking Rs 10 crore as damages in the latter case.
