Both the BJP and the Congress and JD(S) combined are giving their all to come to power and since Tuesday, leaders from both camps have been busy in high level meetings strategising their moves.
On Wednesday, BS Yeddyurappa and HD Kumaraswamy were elected the legislative party leaders of the BJP and the JD(s) respectively.
In a press meet, Kumaraswamy accused the BJP of horsetrading and issued a warning. "The BJP has offered people in our party Rs 100 crore and ministerial positions,” he alleged.
In a not-so-cryptic statement to the media, BJP MLA CT Ravi said, 'Whoever doesn't want the Congress, will come to us.”
TNM’s sources had confirmed on Tuesday that the BJP had given up trying to poach JD(S) and moved on, instead, to Congress MLAs and smaller parties or independents.
