We don't know as yet who will form the government in Karnataka. But what we do know is that the hapless situation is a goldmine for memes.

As the BJP, Congress and the JD(S) play a game of musical chairs, the Internet is having a good laugh. The political situation in Karnataka is tense as uncertainty looms over government formation in the state. Speculations of horsetrading are rife and parties have made all arrangements to pack off their MLAs to resorts.

Providing some relief from the ongoing confusion and drama, social media users are sparking off some laughs on the Internet through memes.

When your dreams bloom but then...

The 'Is this a pigeon?' meme gets an update, as do some other popular culture references.

The drama does equal what you'd find in a Karan Johar film!

Who doesn't remember this scene from Alaipayuthey? Lovers in Bangalore, the meme suggests, were put through a scare at the thought of Congress and JD(S) kicking the bucket.

This is pretty self-explanatory, you guys.

Remember Vandanam? How Mohanlal coerces the heroine into saying 'yes' to his proposal? Kumaraswamy is Mohanlal and Sonia Gandhi is the heroine who is coerced into supporting him because she's out of choices.

I don't feel so good, do you? (If you don't get this, you left the theatre as soon as the credits started playing in Avengers: Infinity War.)

JD(S) is the apple of everyone's eye.

Thala's transformation is pretty close to what the Congress pulled off, some would say.

Who better to illustrate people kicking each other out than Senthil and Koundamani?

A "mass" scene from Jilla to represent what people supposedly working for the masses are doing currently.

Not everyone is impressed with OPS's grand gesture of friendship.

Both the BJP and the Congress and JD(S) combined are giving their all to come to power and since Tuesday, leaders from both camps have been busy in high level meetings strategising their moves.

On Wednesday,  BS Yeddyurappa and HD Kumaraswamy were elected the legislative party leaders of the BJP and the JD(s) respectively.

In a press meet, Kumaraswamy accused the BJP of horsetrading and issued a warning. "The BJP has offered people in our party Rs 100 crore and ministerial positions,” he alleged.

In a not-so-cryptic statement to the media, BJP MLA CT Ravi said, 'Whoever doesn't want the Congress, will come to us.”

TNM’s sources had confirmed on Tuesday that the BJP had given up trying to poach JD(S) and moved on, instead, to Congress MLAs and smaller parties or independents.
