The Villain, the Sandalwood multi starrer, starring Shivrajkumar and Kiccha Sudeep is all set to release soon. The pre-release business of this magnum opus bankrolled by CR Manohar is being done at a brisk pace. According to latest reports, the audio rights of this film has fetched its makers about Rs. 1.08 crores. The music house major, Anand Audio has bagged the rights of The Villain, sources say.

The talkie portions of the film have been wrapped up recently and the team is yet to complete the shooting of a couple of songs, which will be done soon. Sources say that there is a mad rush among the distributors to lay their hands on the distribution rights but the deal hasn’t been inked yet.

Two years after the movie was announced, shooting for the film finally last year in the month of April.

Directed by Prem, The Villain stars Shivrajkumar and Sudeep in the lead roles and this is the first time both the stars are collaborating for a film. With the female lead being Amy Jackson, others in the star cast include Srikanth, Mithun Chakraborty and Sruthi Hariharan. Arjun Janya has composed tunes for this flick while Girish R. Gowda has cranked the camera.

Made in Kannada, sources say that the makers have plans to release it in other languages such as Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. According to reports, the film’s Hindi rights have been sold already for Rs. 5.4 crores. We also hear that made on a huge budget, a big portion of it has been allocated for the graphics work.

With both Shivrjkumar and Sudeep being the top stars in the Kannada film industry, fans are just eager to catch this film on its release. We hear from sources close to the film unit that Shivarajkumar’s get-up in the film would be its highlight. Also, there are some dare devilry stunts that would be a feast for the action movie buffs.
