Atharvaa has signed a new film that will be directed by debutant Raveedran and bankrolled by Michael Rayappan's Global Infotainment. The pooja of this film happened recently and the shooting will commence soon.

Cinematographer Shakthi Saravanan put out a tweet confirming this.

“Happy to work with @Atharvaamurali @globalinpl @SMRADMK and debut director Raveendran in upcoming Tamil feature yet to be titled. Pooja just happened and the camera rolls soon with all your support,” he wrote on the microblogging platform.

Atharvaa currently has Othaikku Othai in his kitty. It is an action drama written and directed by Barnesh. The film has Atharvaa and Sri Divya in the lead roles along with Narain, Chandhana and Vidya Pradeep playing pivotal parts as well.

The actor will also be seen reprising actor Nani’s role from the hit Telugu film Ninnu Kori in its Tamil remake. Anupama Parameswaran has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Atharvaa.

Ninnu Kori is a romantic drama film that was directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by DVV Danayya under his banner DVV Entertainments. Nani and Nivetha Thomas played the lead pair in the movie with Aadhi Pinisetty, Murali Sharma, Tanikella Bharani, and Prudhviraj also in important roles. The technical crew of this film included Gopi Sunder to compose music for the film, Prawin Pudi to edit and Karthik Ghattamaneni as the cinematographer. The film was a massive success at the box office. It was made on a budget of Rs 20 crores and went on to collect Rs 52 crores.

It may be noted here that Atharvaa made his debut in the Telugu film industry with Gaddalakonda Ganesh recently. Harish Shankar is the director of the film which had Varun Tej and Pooja Hegde playing the main leads. Interestingly, it was a remake of the hit Tamil movie Jigarthanda, which was directed by Karthik Subburaj.
