The Asif Ali starrer, titled Underworld, is all set to hit the marquee on November 1 to coincide with the Kerala Piravi Day. The film, touted to be a thriller, is directed by Arun Kumar Aravind and bankrolled under the banner D14 Entertainments.

The scripting for this entertainer has been done by Shibin Francis. Cinematography is by Alex J Pulickal and music is by Yakzan Gary Pereira and Neha Nair. The teaser of the film was released in June with chilling music,  gun shots and gambling rooms.

Director Arun Kumar Aravind and Asif Ali have earlier teamed up for Kaattu, the script of which was written by Ananda Padmanabhan, the son of late legendary filmmaker Padmarajan. According to Asif Ali, Underworld will be a completely different film from Kaattu and is sure that his fans would simply love it. He revealed in an interview to the Times of India earlier that Underworld will be a mass entertainer as it is about a common man getting his revenge.

Asif Ali has also disclosed an interesting piece of information about this action entertainer. His son Adam Ali will be making his acting debut with Underworld. A picture of the child with his father was also shared online and has gone viral already.

Besides Asif Ali in the lead role, the film also has Farhan Faasil, Mukesh and Lal Jr. in pivotal roles. While Asif Ali’s character is named Stalin John, Farhan Faasil will be playing the role named Majeed, Mukesh will be seen as Padmanabhan Nair and Lal Jr. as Solomon. Samyuktha Menon and Ketaki Narayan have been roped in to play the female leads in this flick.

Asif was last seen playing a lawyer cum politician in the film Kakshi: Ammininpilla. His upcoming films include Parannu Parannu, directed by Sugeeth, in which he will be seen opposite Amala Paul.
