Arya’s upcoming film has an interesting title, Ghajinikanth! The one-minute teaser of this film was released recently and had captured the attention of the film buffs. According to the filmmakers, the title is a combination of words, Rajinikanth and Ghajini, as Arya portrays an ardent Rajinikanth fan and as someone who suffers from memory loss in the film. Incidentally, the name Ghajini was picked up from Suriya's portrayal of a short-term memory loss patient in his hit movie Ghajini.

Directed by Santhosh P Jayakumar of Hara Hara Mahadev Ki fame, Ghajinikanth also has a bevvy of actors in the star cast. Sayyesha plays the female lead in the movie and she will be seen as Arya’s love interest. Aadukalam Naren has been roped in to play Arya’s father and Sampath Raj as the heroine’s father.

The star cast also includes Karunakaran and Sathish as the comedians while Mottai Rajendran has also been roped in for comic relief. With as many as three comedians in the movie, it is certainly going to be a laugh riot.

Ghajinikanth is produced by KE Gananvel Raja under his banner Studio Green. The songs and BGM for the film will be composed by Balamurali Balu. Ballu is the cinematographer for this film and GK Prasanna is the editor. Interestingly, Santhanam, who had shared the screen space with Arya in several films as his comedy side-kick will be the narrator of the film. The story has been penned by Maruthi Dasari and is based on his hit Telugu film Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, which released in 2015.

Ghajinikanth is slated for release this year and Arya has a slew of films in store including Santhana Devan and Sanghamithra. His first ever Kannada film Rajaratha is also gearing up for release.
